Hayden Knibbs is a Senior Clinical Psychologist registered with the New Zealand Psychologists Board, the Psychology Board of Australia, the Health and Care Professions counsel in the UK, the Health Professions Counsel of South Africa, and is also a member of the New Zealand Psychologists’ Society.

Hayden has been practicing for over a decade and has special interest in treating the following:

Since completing his MSC in Clinical Psychology in 2012, he has worked with a range of presenting difficulties and in a variety of contexts. These have included working in both the public and private sector, with ACC, and with individuals, young people, couples, and families addressing a wide array of challenges.

Hayden is systemically trained and utilises evidence-based treatment modalities. He follows an integrative approach to treatment, involving a clinical analysis of each individual’s situation, focusing on understanding the specific details of each person’s journey and experience, in order to identify the most effective evidence-based treatment for each individual. Hayden believes that psychological treatment is very personal and as such uses a person-centered stance when engaging in therapy. He has been trained and utilises an array of therapeutic techniques including: Clinical Hypnosis, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, and Sex Therapy.
